TSMALL AND GEE GAS UP THEIR OLD MUSIC BEEF

Writer's picture: 360 Show360 Show

Tsmallz and Gee, two hiphop music stars in the Gambia, once had a popular beef sometime around 2012 / 2013. The fight came when Gee invited Tsmallz for a collabo and later boycotted the project for some reason best known to him. Few days after Gee’s boycott, Tsmallz used the stage during performance at one of the annual open mic to express dissatisfaction towards the act of Gee that action led to a fight at the event which involve the fans of both musicians.

After sometime, Gee went on Facebook to write against T Smallz and the “We are Trobul” star also reacted to his challenge. The problem got severe, when fans commented on Gee’s facebook post by saying it is better for them to use the studios to beef one another on songs than on social media. Listening to those words, Gee went into the studio and released a song called “GEE Du Sa Morom” to criticize T Smallz. He got his first response from Mafia, a boy recruited by T Smalls, who sang the “Bul Falleh Gee” song to fight back on behalf of T Smallz. GEE later released another song called “Bul Daw” that replied to Mafia’s drop as he challenged T Smallz to respond.

The controversy led both artists to continuously beef one another by producing different kinds of songs. It was a musical war between the two hit makers and as a result, they have not performed on the same stage for some years.

Happily, the two vibrant artistes have turned to good friends, after Alieu K. Jammeh, the Minister of Youths and Sports intervened and called for a meeting to peacefully resolve the matter.

T Smallz and Gee reconciled and forgotten about their beef for so many years but is now smelling to become a fresh wound when Tsmallz twitted and say ‘majority knows Tsmallz via Chat Buster and later with weekly open mic…majority knows Gee after dissing Smallz on a track made famous by Sista Njie on the popular Wahsahalat show! This is a fact not an opinion’

The forth and back conversation started in twitter, where Xmyls said to both of them, no denying, two of you contributed to the growth of modern Gambian music. Your names are already etched in history and none of you can take away from the other. The past is gone. Done. There is a lot to live for.

Gee didn’t take this friendly, he also replyed smallz on facebook and said

‘You & I know FULLY well this beef started simply cuz i asked u to redo a verse none of the people u were on the track with liked.

We work in the studio that gives us the chance off redoing stuff until u get it right.

I remember u refused to write n decided to freestyle it

I only asked u to sit on da verse, gave u da producers number for anytime you're ready.

It’s OUR track, we working together n we all should make sure it comes out 100%

For the first time im hearing your theory of "I called u on a track to diss u on it” I used to hear you're delusional but tey lakor gom.

Brother u went on stage a few days later n was dissing me on stage teh Yallah Ham na neh deffumala dara. ‘

The reply of Gee was making rounds on facebook, Smallz also thought it will be wise to clear the social media about what Gee said to him, he also fired back with this

This was done and dusted on Twitter a while ago but still got to reply on fb for my fans to hear my part.

How can you willingly call someone on a track and then not like what they did? Hmm?? Then why call them at the first place? You know how to make up stories.

You call me for a colabo an I couldn’t do a verse you like.. cheyyyy Gibou!

Still nga harr beh After 2 years then make a beef song from nowhere which made u popular! ‘

It seem Gee and Tsmallz cannot buried their old scuffle, but let’s watch and see where this will end, probably to the kitchen.

Where are you, TeamGee or We’re Trobul?????
