Brikama born prowess rapper and multiple award winning artist ST the Gambian Dream has break the loop of Gambian musicians fundraising support to needy families in fight against covid-19/coronavirus.

Couple weeks we made a series of article here pinpointing the reasons why ST and other wealthy Gambian musicians should support their fans in this trying moment, seems working quite well and the respond from them is huge and splendid.

Yesterday 15th of April 2020, ST announced on his social media site that he will be donating 50,000 dalasi to his foundation’s (ST foundation for Community Development) gofundme campaign against covid-19 which is aimed to reach out to his fans, friends, and families who find it difficult to feed their self in this lockdown and part of the fund will be also used to buy sanitary materials which will help suppress the transmission of the virus through hand shaking.

In his post, he said “As we are all aware, these are hard times for everyone around the world as the spread of the virus is changing the way we live, and experts are already predicting the long term impact it will have on our livelihoods.”

He urged his partners and well-wishers in the Gambia and around the world to join him in this fundraising to support in one way, he said this will help the country through various means to curb the spread of the virus and help mitigate the impact it’s already having on the people especially the underprivileged communities.
