TOPGUN AKA ANCHOR known, is a Gambian artist born in Essau and grown up in Latrikunda German.
Topgun whose real name is Bakary Marong started music from his childhood days. After his junior school studies, he attended St.Augustin High School and graduates in 1999.
Later in 2000, he moved to Austria (Europe) where is still residing and live there permanently.
He realized his love and passion for music and started doing music alone with the support of family and friends.
In 2008 he started his fulltime music career and during those trying times he managed to release his first single called “High Grade”.
This was the time he was working with SIZZLE SOUND SYSTEM and DJ MIKE.
Later in 2011 he dropped his first album called “Mama Earth” alongside MILLI CHAB from Hungary.
Then again in 2012 TOPGUN AKA ANCHOR started to perform on shows in Austria and the surrounding cities in Europe.
His performance has improved since then and in 2019 he released another Album called “All Or Nothing.”
His newest song “If Nobody There” dropped March 2020.
TOPGUN AKA ANCHOR has always been working with other artists and producers. Collaborating with the well-known REBELLION THE RECALLER.
Released also many tunes with RAS ASKIA from Hardcore Production and many more others.
He did also attend big festival platforms land other platforms like FLAG FLOW HIGH SENEGAMBIA in Austria (2014,2017).
